Public Notice – Fort Rucker Environmental Assessment for New Fuel Storage Facility at Hanchey Army Heliport

Notice is hereby given that the US Army, Fort Rucker, AL has prepared a Final Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding Of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for U.S. Army Garrison Fort Rucker New Fuel Storage Facility at Hanchey Army Heliport in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

A copy of the EA has been provided for public review at the Sustainable Fort Rucker Website at: https://www.fortrucker-env.com/ under the Programs tab and then the NEPA tab. The EA will be available for review and comments for 30 days starting 27 FEB 2026 through 29 MAR 2026. Comments on the EA should be sent to: Mr. Brent Waters, Directorate of Public Works, Environmental and Natural Resources Division, ATTN: AMIM-RPW-E, Building 1121, Fort Rucker, AL, 36362 or brent.waters3.civ@army.mil. Comments will be addressed and incorporated into the Final EA.
