This one-day refresher on 16 NOV 2026 (0730-1530) should be taken by military or civilian personnel who handle, package, store, transport, or manage hazardous materials or waste; and who have previously completed the three-day DHMWHC. This course should be taken by those environmental, safety, and industrial hygiene professions, managers, and installation support staff responsible for hazardous materials/ waste compliance. The curriculum includes a general overview of hazardous material and waste regulation as they relate to the handlers jobs, identification and labeling requirements, health hazards, storage compatibility, spill response, and hazardous waste classification. This course is intended to satisfy the requirement of RCRA (40 CFR 260-265) training for hazardous waste handlers. COST: Free for Federal DoW employees.
